Plunkett founded Salary.com in 1999 to pursue a vision for integrating data and technology and filling a need for intuitive, on-demand compensation management tools. Since then, he has built Salary.com into a high-growth enterprise (a 2005 and 2006 "Inc. 500" honoree) delivering on-demand compensation and talent management software and data to thousands of corporate subscribers and over 100 million individuals.
Plunkett is a serial entrepreneur and web syndication pioneer whose credits include leadership roles at InfoSpace and developing the software version of the best selling career title, What Color is Your Parachute?. In addition, he served as the director of new business development at electronic phone directory publisher Pro CD, Inc. where he designed and launched four directory data and application software products.
Plunkett has a MBA from the Harvard Graduate School of Business Administration and holds a Certified Compensation Professional (CCP®) accreditation. He also received a bachelor's degree from Georgetown University where he was the Chairman of the George F. Baker Scholar Program. He currently serves on the College Board of Advisors at Georgetown.
Yong Zhang
Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer
With rich experience in Internet technology and Web business, Zhang joined Salary.com in 2000. He is responsible for process, methodology, technology and day-to-day operations of software-as-a-service innovation and delivery. Zhang focuses on customer implementation and professional services, enterprise product marketing and strategy, on-demand software architecture and product development, as well as data center and MIS operations.
Prior to his role at Salary.com, with his unique approach of committing to operational efficiency, market responsiveness, customer satisfaction and technology innovation, he successfully led and managed many e-Commerce and enterprise product architecture, development, and launch projects for Iconomy.com, Smart Route Systems, Inc., and Center for Health and Human Services.
Zhang holds a MBA degree from the Johnson Graduate School of Business at Cornell University, and a M.S. degree in Electrical Engineering as well as a M.S. degree in Physics from the University of Massachusetts at Dartmouth. Zhang is certified by WorldatWork as a Certified Compensation Professional (CCP®) and a Global Remuneration Professional (GRP®).
Bryce Chicoyne
Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer
Chicoyne is a seasoned financial executive and has extensive experience leading international financial operations, completing acquisitions and developing strong financial infrastructure for public companies. Mr. Chicoyne joined Salary.com as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. Prior to Salary.com, Bryce served as Chief Financial Officer for Harvard Bioscience (NASDAQ: HBIO), where he held the position from 2004 to 2008. In this role, he led the successful acquisition of an international company, implemented systems to comply with Section 404 of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act, and built a strong finance team. During his tenure at Harvard Bioscience, the company grew annual revenue nearly 30% to $83 million. Prior to joining Harvard Bioscience, Mr. Chicoyne served from December 2002 to August 2004 as Director of Financial Reporting with Apogent Technologies Inc. (now a subsidiary of Fisher Scientific Inc.), a developer and manufacturer of products for the clinical and research industries. From May 2000 to December 2002, Mr. Chicoyne served as the Manager of Financial Reporting of Sonus Networks, Inc., a provider of voice over IP infrastructure solutions for wireline and wireless service providers.
Mr. Chicoyne holds a B.S. in accounting from the University of Southern New Hampshire and a M.B.A. from the F.W. Olin School of Business at Babson College.
Elliot J. Mark
Senior Vice President and General Counsel
Mark joined Salary.com in 2006 as Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary, where he leads the company's legal operations and oversees its compliance activities. Mark has more than 16 years experience counseling technology companies in all aspects of their legal affairs, particularly mergers and acquisitions, securities law, intellectual property and international business operations.
Prior to joining Salary.com, Mark was the Senior Vice President and General Counsel of Viisage Technology, Inc., a Nasdaq-listed identity solutions company which completed nine acquisitions and increased its market capitalization from $50 million to over $1 billion during his three-year tenure there. Before that, he was the General Counsel of eRoom Technology, Inc., an enterprise software company, which was successfully acquired by Documentum (now EMC). Earlier in his career, Mark held senior legal positions at SimPlayer Sports (Nasdaq:SMPL), Arthur D. Little and Molten Metal Technology (Nasdaq:MLTN). He began his career at Goodwin Procter LLP in Boston.
Mark holds a B.A. from Wesleyan University and a J.D. from The Georgetown University Law Center where he was an editor of The Georgetown Law Journal.
Teri Shipp
Senior Vice President and Chief Sales Officer
A global finance, accounting and sales executive adept at forging entry into new markets, Shipp joined Salary.com in 2002. She is instrumental in driving both the growth and profitability of the Company's award-winning products, including its enterprise compensation management offerings. Initially hired by Salary.com as the Corporate Controller, Shipp was later tapped to lead the expansion of the sales group which has fueled the organization's strong growth rate under her leadership.
Previously, Shipp was the international finance manager at LoJack Corporation, where she provided leadership in licensee financial and strategic issues. One of her major successes was handling the refinancing and business model changes required during the Argentinean crisis. Earlier in her career, she was the finance manager for several organizations, including Arjo Wiggins Appleton in Paris, and the controller at General Videotext Corporation, an early Internet service provider. Shipp spent several years using her talents in not for profit work, including fundraising, systems development and implementation, as well as financial oversight of a multi-million dollar construction project. Shipp began her career in semiconductor field sales with Texas Instruments.
Shipp holds a MBA from the Harvard Graduate School of Business Administration and a bachelor's of science degree in electrical engineering from the University of Notre Dame. A certified public accountant, she is also a Certified Compensation Professional (CCP®), and is fluent in French, with a working knowledge of Spanish.
Meredith A. Hanrahan
Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer
A seasoned marketing executive with more than 20 years of Fortune 1000 experience in advertising, marketing and product development, Hanrahan joined Salary.com in September 2005. She leads the corporate marketing strategy and oversees the interactive division, including consumer web applications and development, and on-demand market pricing software sales for small businesses. Before joining Salary.com, she was the chief marketing officer at AG Interactive, the new media subsidiary of American Greetings Corporation, and SVP of the AG network of sites including Blue Mountain.com, EGreetings.com and AmericanGreetings.com where she increased revenue per user by 10% and introduced several new Web and mobile offerings.
Hanrahan served as the vice president and general manger for Terra Lycos, Inc., a leading Internet portal serving global markets. There she managed key properties such as Lycos Entertainment, Gamesville.com and Matchmaker.com; tripling traffic, introducing subscription services (on-demand games and music downloads) and growing Matchmaker.com into an award-winning, top-tier dating site, which was voted stickiest site on the web and was a repeat winner of Forbes Best of Web. Earlier in her career, she was the director of marketing at Lindt Chocolate USA, Inc., a senior brand manager for Miller Lite at Miller Brewing Company, Inc., and a brand manager at Heublein and General Mills. She started her career as a consultant in financial services, at KPMG and McKinsey and Company.
Hanrahan holds a MBA from the Harvard Graduate School of Business Administration and a bachelor's degree, magna cum laude, from the University of New Hampshire.
Nicholas Camelio
Vice President, Human Resources
Nick joined Salary.com in 2007 as Vice President, Human Resources, where he leads the company's HR operation, strategic HR initiatives and programs, and oversees the talent management function for the company. Nick has more than 16 years experience in human resources, providing HR leadership to technology companies in all aspects of their people functions, including recruiting, compensation and benefits, learning and development, and employee retention.
Prior to joining Salary.com, Nick was the Vice President of Human Resources of BrassRing Inc., a leading provider in the Human Capital Management (HCM) space, offering enterprise software and outsourced recruitment services to Fortune 500 companies. While at BrassRing, he successfully transitioned the HR function and facilitated the change management after BrassRing was acquired by Kenexa Corp. Prior to this, he was the head of HR for the Northeast Region of Vignette Corporation, an enterprise software company, where he was responsible for leading the HR function for its engineering and professional services organizations. Earlier in his career, Nick held senior HR positions at IBM and Lotus Development Corporation.
Nick holds a B.S. from Bentley College with a concentration in Human Resource Management, and is a member of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM).
Bill Coleman

Bill Coleman is one of the world's leading experts on the design and administration of compensation and reward programs. Having joined Salary.com in 2000, he heads the company's compensation products, data and services division, leading the research and publishing of Salary.com findings on compensation data and trends. Coleman's innovations have enabled Salary.com to develop and report information in ways that are useful and understandable for the broadest range of audiences, including human resource professionals, business managers, and individual employees.
National media outlets including Fortune magazine, CNN, the Wall Street Journal, and "The Today Show" as well as human resource trade publications have turned to Coleman for his expertise and easy-to-understand explanations of compensation and other recruitment and retention issues. His articles have appeared in publications such as Compensation and Benefits Review, HR Magazine, WorldatWork's Workspan magazine, and BrassRing Campus Careers and the MBA. He also served for two years as the executive compensation expert for Monster.com's executive-oriented site, Chief Monster.
Prior to his current role, Coleman was a senior executive compensation consultant with Watson Wyatt Worldwide and the director of marketing and manager of special compensation and benefits projects at PricewaterhouseCoopers. Coleman's experience includes the analysis and design of executive and broad-based compensation programs for public and private organizations, ranging from pre-IPO startups to Fortune 100 corporations as well as the design and actuarial valuation of qualified and non-qualified retirement programs.
A graduate of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (M.I.T.), he has a bachelor's of science in mathematics. He is a Certified Compensation Professional (CCP®), and a member of WorldatWork, the Society for Human Resource Management, and the National Association of Stock Plan Professionals. Coleman is also a member of the Corporate Advisory Board of RetirementJobs.com.
